Important Points to be considered for executing Cell Fill Concrete Technology Work

1. Brick on edge should be laid on both sides of the carriageway for the confinement and protection of Cell Fill Concrete.
2. Expansion joints are not required. The concrete block would shrink during curing causing a gap of 20 microns between two blocks, which accomodates the expansion of the concrete.
3. Cell walls deform during placement of concrete and its compaction, developing 3D interlocking.
4. Opening to traffic – Motorcycles within 24 hours and heavy vehicles after 12-14 days.
